Briton “Brit” Waugh started his career in food services management, where he was introduced to the idea that if the man on top isn’t willing to do the smallest job in the business, the business will be destined to fail. He studied business at Pikes Peak Community College and changed career paths, following his father’s footsteps into the financial services industry in 2004, still carrying the ideal of service into every client relationship.
His father Tom has always set an example for his boys in the way he conducts his work, always stressing the importance of good financial planning because of its direct impact on clients’ lives. Brit takes that seriously. He values the opportunity to meet and serve people in all lines of work, giving him an appreciation for a spectrum of vocations.
It’s no wonder then, that Brit’s areas of concentration include detailed client needs analysis and personalized service—tailoring each plan to meet individual’s specific goals. While he enjoys the challenge and process of helping clients reach those goals, he especially likes working with those who have a clear vision of what they want to achieve. Brit is always happy to take those who aren’t exactly sure through a process to evaluate and determine their long and short-term goals.

Brit’s philosophy in business, and in life, is to be less concerned with the things around you, but more so with the people around you, because that’s where memories are made. He has opportunity to make meaningful memories with his wife, Amie, and three daughters—Sophie, Lila and Aubrie. Life in Calhan keeps all of them busy year-round with sports, 4-H and camping.
